Great News: Morgan & Morgan and supporters raised more than $400,000 for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida at Matt Morgan's 10th Annual Walk for Wishes on March 15 in Lake Eola Park in Orlando. That amount of money will help grant wishes for 51 children with a life-threatening medical condition.
We want to thank all who sponsored, attended, donated, and supported the walk, including our Orlando office's Social Security department, who put a lot of work into this. Despite the cold, we had a great turnout of thousands of people.
"It's amazing how much this crowd has grown," Matt said at the event kickoff, continuing on to say that "I always say that Make-A-Wish is in the business of providing hope and joy to families and children in their darkest hour, and [gives] them something to look forward to."

Background
The Walk for Wishes is a fundraiser that is held around the country to raise money for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. Matt brought the charity walk to Orlando ten years ago, and the events have gone on to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars, and grant over a thousand wishes. Typically, a child's wish falls into one of four categories: “I wish to go, I wish to be, I wish to meet, or I wish to have.”
The organization does not put a limit on what the wish can be, and so it is completely up to the imagination of the child to determine the scope of the wish. As one can imagine though, this quickly becomes expensive and more funds are always needed to continue granting wishes.
Last year, the event set out to raise $300,000 and got very close to its goal. This time around, Matt raised the bar to $375,000, which supporters exceeded by several thousands of dollars.
The average wish costs about $8,000, but the joy of allowing a child to be a kid again, free of doctors, hospitals, and treatment, is priceless.
