Tyrone Laury

Tyrone Laury has resided in the Tampa Bay area since 2005, but he is originally from West Orlando. He is a 2007 graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
 
While attending law school, Mr. Laury served in the leadership of various organizations. He was the President of Black Law Students Association, President of the American Constitution Society, Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, Associate Editor of Law Review, and an officer in both Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. He was the recipient of the Alumni Association's Distinguished Student Award, the Eugene Krasicky Law Review Award, and the Leadership Achievement Award.
 
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Laury worked as an auto insurance professional for nearly 13 years in Lakeland, Florida. He has worked in every capacity as an adjuster and in management. The majority of his management career was focused in the area of Personal Injury Protection Litigation. After law school, he began his legal career at an insurance defense firm representing large insurance carriers. Now, he fights on our clients’ behalf using his vast knowledge of the inner workings of insurance companies and their defense strategies.
 
Outside of work, Mr. Laury enjoys spending time with his with wife and daughter. He is active with various Bar Associations, such as George Edgecombe and Fred G. Minnis. He is also committed to serving the community through The St. Petersburg Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
