Jeffry Dougan

Trial Attorney

Born and raised in West Texas, Jeffry brings a unique blend of determination, grit, and compassion to the practice of law. A proud alumnus of the University of North Texas, Jeffry graduated cum laude with a degree in economics and a minor in Spanish, laying a solid foundation for his analytical and linguistic skills.

His academic journey led him to the University of Colorado School of Law, where he met his wife, a fellow advocate for justice.

For nearly two decades, Denver, Colorado, was home. It was here that Jeffry honed his skills as a trial attorny while he was a deputy state public defender for the State of Colorado, handling complex and serious felony cases, including criminal conspiracy cases, assault, attempted murder, sexual assault, and more. With over 30 cases taken to trial, his early career was marked by a relentless pursuit of fairness and a deep commitment to defending the underdog.

In a bold move to shape his destiny, Jeffry founded his own law firm, initially focusing on auto and premises liability cases before expanding into the realms of defamation and First Amendment law. His practice is a testament to his evolving expertise and unwavering dedication to defending those wronged by others.

In 2022, Jeffry and his wife moved to Decatur to support his wife's dream of working as a civil rights attorney for one of the Southeast's most prestigious civil rights non-profits.

Outside the courtroom, Jeffry finds solace and inspiration in reading and music, interests that fuel his passion for the law and advocacy. He is driven by a profound commitment to representing individuals injured through no fault of their own and engaging in the David-versus-Goliath battle against insurance companies.

Today, as a proud member of the nation's largest and toughest injury firm, Jeffry continues to dedicate himself to the hard and never-ending work of helping other people through one of the toughest times they will ever know.
