Jeanette Cardenas

Trial Attorney

Jeanette graduated with honors from The University of Florida before earning her Juris Doctorate from The Florida State University College of Law. She began her legal career in criminal defense, passionately advocating for indigent clients at the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office. Transitioning to civil defense, she spent over ten years representing insurance companies and large corporations in general liability matters as a partner at a national litigation firm, refining her skills in navigating complex legal landscapes and defending against various claims.

With a strong foundation in defense work, Jeanette brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insights to her role at Morgan & Morgan. Her focus is primarily on personal injury claims and premises liability cases, including slip and fall accidents, negligent security matters, common carrier claims, and neglect of vulnerable adult cases. Using her defense expertise, Jeanette empowers her clients to pursue justice and secure rightful compensation against insurance companies and negligent parties.

Beyond her legal practice, Jeanette actively participates in community initiatives, serving on committees like the Redefining Refuge Bubbles & Butterflies Gala Committee and the Enriching Escapes Fundraising Committee. Jeanette resides in Tampa, FL with her husband and is an active parishioner of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and is based in St. Petersburg, FL, where she continues to make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated legal representation to those in need.
