Jake was born and raised in California, where he earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California, Davis. During his undergraduate years, Jake was a member of the football team and made the Dean’s List. A veteran trial lawyer with more than 50 first-chair jury trials, Jake now calls Birmingham, Alabama home.

While in law school, Jake was a member of the Trial Practice Honors Board and the UC Davis Law Review. He also earned the Witkin Award for excellence in Scientific Evidence. After law school, Jake served as a prosecutor for nearly nine years. He gained extensive jury trial experience prosecuting attempted murders, DUIs with great bodily injury, hate crimes, and sexual assaults. He was twice awarded by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for his work prosecuting cases on behalf of the victims of drunk and impaired drivers.

Having fought for victims of drunk drivers and other violent criminals, Jake now takes great pride in fighting for plaintiffs. Jake enjoys working with his clients and guiding them through a challenging court process. At home in a courtroom, Jake does not hesitate to take a case to trial to ensure his clients get full and fair value for their losses.
