Clay Anderson

Attorney

Clay Anderson received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in 1992 and has spent over a quarter century as a trial lawyer after receiving his Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law in 1996.  He first began his work as a trial lawyer as a State Court Prosecutor where he tried 8 jury trials to verdict in his first year. Clay was lead trial counsel in 3 separate criminal prosecutions which directly led to life sentences awarded by juries against those criminal defendants.  He later worked under a Federal Grant prosecuting crimes involving gun and drug crimes. Clay has also prosecuted cases involving homicide, kidnapping, and sexual assault.

After leaving public service, Clay spent time working for insurance defense firms, but then decided to move to the other side of the “V” representing the people, not the powerful, involved in serious death and personal injury claims. Clay successfully prosecuted a verdict against Erie Insurance Company and has two other substantial verdicts in cases for more than $1.3 million. Clay has settled a wrongful death case in excess of $1.9 million and has also settled multiple serious premises liability cases against Burger King, Dollar General, Wells Fargo, Coronado Coal and Walmart, for example. Clay also has a broad range of experience in product liability claims, workplace injuries, wrongful foreclosure disputes against the largest banks in the United States, negligent security matters, motor vehicle negligence and crashes involving large commercial vehicles.

Clay has years of experience at understanding what Judges and Juries require so that Morgan and Morgan’s clients are fully protected in and outside the courtroom.
