J. Benjamin Myers

Trial Attorney

Ben Myers is a trial attorney in Morgan & Morgan’s Charleston, South Carolina office. Ben’s career has been focused on courtroom litigation, trying dozens of jury trials to verdict. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, he served as a federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice where he specialized in prosecuting financial crimes and large-scale narcotics offenses.

Ben’s legal career began with the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. In 2012-2013, Ben deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division, where he provided legal advice to Army commanders. During his nine years on active duty, Ben served additional tours at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and Fort Knox, Kentucky. These assignments included work as a trial defense counsel for Soldiers accused of crimes at courts-martial proceedings and serving as a prosecutor on behalf of Army commanders. Ben has repeatedly been recognized for litigating the most complex and tough cases.

Ben now utilizes his passion for service to help clients who are dealing with unexpected and unnatural injuries. He relentlessly pursues civil justice on behalf of his clients and gives a voice to victims who are fighting against insurance companies.

Ben graduated cum laude from The Citadel in 2008. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2011. Ben was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in 2011.

Ben and his wife, Natalie, are the proud parents of one boy, James, and one girl, Charlotte. When he is not fighting insurance companies and litigating cases for his clients, Ben loves watching college football and enjoying Lowcountry outdoor living with his family and dog.
